RESIDENCIES
A home base for working creative professionals in downtown Victoria.
A Residency makes Haus of Owl the home of your creative business. Your name goes on the wall, literally and figuratively: in the building and across our website. When a project comes in that fits what you do, you're the first person we send it to. You work out of our studios and share the building with musicians, filmmakers, photographers, podcasters, writers and dancers. Collaborations, referrals and new work start in the hallway.
Who it is for
Residencies are for working creative professionals with steady clients who are outgrowing a home studio or tired of renting studios by the hour.
What Residents get
Your name on the wall. Residents are named in the building and featured on the studio pages where they work, with a short bio and a link to their Creator Directory profile.
First call on new projects. Work that comes to Haus of Owl in your field goes to you first.
Visibility. We help put you and your work in front of the people who come to Haus of Owl, online and in the building.
First pick of the calendar. Residents book studios up to six months ahead. Members book up to 90 days ahead.
The house. Our four studios, the Creator Directory and a community of creators who take their work seriously.
The studios
Dream Lounge. A studio for photography, video, immersive media and creative gatherings.
Ooloo. A high-end audio recording studio for musicians, vocalists and ADR sessions.
VOX. An isolation booth for voice work: voiceover, audiobooks, podcasts, ADR and vocals. Book it on its own or with Ooloo as the control room.
Zebra Lab. A rehearsal and writing room with a PA system, plus a TV and whiteboard for meetings and script readings.
Rates and terms are set with each Resident after we talk.
